Rando Photo: Missing One Coat Wearer
So there we were, just walking down the sidewalk one evening when BAM!!!! I wake up the next day, unable to move. I knew I was outside, and all I could see is dirt on the ground. I'm pretty sure it was cold outside and that the wind was blowing. Wait, was it blowing?
Yup. The wind was definitely blowing because one second I was trying to count the number of rocks in the dirt, and the next, I was on my back looking up at the sky. I still couldn't move.
Day turned into night. And night into day.
That next day, someone picked me up and put me on a stack of white bags. Before too long, another man picked me up, threw me on the ground, and then TOOK the white bags I was laying on. The rest of the day I spent laying on the ground, looking straight up.
This morning, some dude with an iPhone took a picture of me. And here I sit. Next to the curb of a street, I think, just waiting for my original wearer to come pick me back up. Dude's gotta be cold.

Rando Photo: Lindsay Was Here
Back before my good friendLindsay left town to work in the big apple, several of us from work went to a party at David Morris' studio. Upon arriving, Lindsay grabbed a drink, came over to where we were, spilled her drink and then walked away. As only Lindsay could do, she didn't even return to clean up the mess. Classic.
We miss you Linds!

Rando Photo: OX?
While in McDonald's a while back, I noticed this poster. I think they meant it to say, "X O," as in "kisses and hugs." But I'm guessing they went with the real way you say it, "hugs and kisses" since the poster clearly says, "OX." Who knew oxen were that lovey-dovey.

Rando Photo: The Nikki Jessica Action Figure
>
One of the things I love to do while visiting in Hutchinson, Kansas (where Ashlee is from), is head over to Hasting's to check out all of the action figures they have. I've never purchased any of them, but my inner-geek really shines through when I wander the aisle for half an hour.
I stumbled across this "action figure" and just had to take a photo of it. For those of you out there that watch Heroes, I'm sure you know who this is -- Nikki, err, Jessica. Nearly everyone on the show in the first season had a power. Some could fly, some could teleport and some could create fire. The powers were vast and usually cool. And then Nikki, err, Jessica came along, whose power was ... wait for it ... a split personality. That's right, she had multiple personality syndrome and would change into a sexier, more evil, version of herself.
That's why her action figure comes with a mirror, a handgun and an alternate Nikki head. Cool eh? No. Not at all.

Rando Photo: Cookbook Cookboob
For the holiday season, one of Ashlee's nieces made everyone a cookbook as a gift. It was really thoughtful considering she suffers from Celiac's Disease (an allergen to gluten, which is found in almost every food you eat). Now, we have a cookbook that tells us what we can make for her when she visits.
The funny thing is when she was asked to write the word "cookbook" for the cover, she wrote "cookboob" over and over again. She even ended on an exclamation mark -- nice style. Now THAT'S a recipe I would love to see. Sorry, that was dumb.

Rando Photo: College Night
When we have friends over for a porch party, things are usually good. When Ashlee is posing for a picture and DeShawn has on my Arkansas Razorbacks high-top slippers, things are usually REALLY good. Until, that is, the next morning.
A while back, several of us attended a friend's wedding reception and decided to take the party home with us. We stayed up until 3:00 am, drinking, smoking cigars, and eating popcorn that expired in 2005. The night was fun. The next day ... not so much.
We're SO not in college anymore.

2009 Snowboard Trip, By El Numeros
Another year, another snowboarding trip. Sadly, this time there were only two of us. But when it's January, it's time to head to the mountains and so that's exactly what Eric and I did. This year's trip took us to Keystone, Colorado. We usually take a shuttle, or taxi, from the airport to our final destination, but this year with only two of us, it was around $100 cheaper if we just rented a car.
What we didn't know about Keystone is that it's called the "Donut Hole" of resorts. It's called that because when the other local resorts are getting tons of snow, Keystone ends up with a very minimal amount. After a record snow-fall in December, the yield wasn't as plentiful in January. Luckily for us, the snow came back the night we arrived and each morning there were 2-4 inches of new snow to ride. Keystone is one of the smaller mountains we've been to, but it was really cool and a lot of fun. Two and a half days on the mountain were about perfect.
We also rode Vail for a day due to some special with our lift tickets. Last year, I thought Steamboat was the biggest mountain I've ever been to. Without comparing number of trails between the two, I'm willing to bet that Vail has more groomed acreage than Steamboat. The mountain was gigantic. Not only did the normal peaks have groomed backsides -- but at the base of one of the backsides, you could hop another lift to ANOTHER mountain. That's a LOT of ground to cover in one day. Unfortunately, for as big as Vail is, there are a TON of roads, and that makes snowboarding sometimes difficult.

KC Recycling Just Got More Better
For those of you that live in Kansas City and have curbside recycling, I have good news for you. The city now allows the recycling of plastics 1-7! That's right, 1-7. No more trying to figure out what that little number on the bottom of your plastic bottle says anymore, because most plastics fall between 1 and 7. It's about time and it's about really awesome. Nice job KC! Way to win.
